With Mother’s Day less than one month away, State Senator Erica Harriss is proud to partner with the Safe Families for Children Metro East Chapter to host a Diaper Drive now through May 11.
“This is a great opportunity for the 56th district to give back to mothers in need and show them a token of appreciation for what they do especially with Mother’s Day right around the corner,” said Senator Harriss.
Those wishing to participate in the Diaper Drive can drop off new baby items to Senator Harriss’ District Office located at 120 North Main Street, Edwardsville. Acceptable donations include: diapers (size 4, 5, and 6), baby wipes, baby lotion, baby wash, pacifiers, and baby bottles.
“If you have any extra new baby items laying around the house that you weren’t able to use, this is a great way to donate your unwanted items,” said Senator Harriss. “Or if you are out at the store and have the means to pick up something extra to donate, we’re really hoping to make a positive impact for our Metro East mothers this Mother’s Day,” concluded Senator Harriss.
Donations will be accepted through May 11 and will be delivered to the Safe Families for Children Metro East Chapter the week of Mother’s Day. Items can be dropped off at the district office from 8:30AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday. For a full list of items that can be donated, visit www.senatorericaharriss.com.
